This program is limited to residential applications unless otherwise specified and does not apply to commercial or industrial use.

 

Limited Residential and Commercial Warranties for Engineered Flooring

 

Limited Residential Warranties
  • Pre-Installation Warranty: Products in their original condition will have no more than 5% defects in grading, milling, dimension, lamination, or assembly, as specified by NFCA & NWFA standards for the total installed area.
  • Lifetime Structural Warranty: First-quality products in their original manufactured condition are warranted to be free from manufacturing defects in milling, dimension, and grade for the lifetime of the floor.
  • 25-Year Urethane Finish Warranty: Covers visible wear exceeding 10% of the total installed area, excluding high-traffic areas like doorways and hallways. The urethane finish is warranted for 25 years under normal residential conditions and proper maintenance.

 

Limited Commercial Warranties
  • Pre-Installation Warranty: Covers up to 5% defects in grading, milling, dimension, lamination, or assembly, as per NFCA & NWFA standards.
  • Lifetime Structural Warranty: Original purchasers are guaranteed freedom from manufacturing defects for the lifetime of the floor.
  • 5-Year Urethane Finish Warranty: Factory finish is warranted not to wear through for five years in commercial applications.

 

Who is Covered?

These warranties are for the original purchaser only and are non-transferable. Proof of purchase (receipt) is required.

Limitations: No installer, retailer, distributor, agent, or employee may modify the terms of this warranty.

 

What is Not Covered
  • Damage caused by natural disasters, Acts of God, accidents, or misuse.
  • Improper maintenance, neglect, abuse, or environmental conditions.
  • Scratches, dents, or surface damage caused by furniture, appliances, high heels, or pets.
  • Improper cleaning methods or products, including wet mops or abrasive tools.
  • Gloss reduction, surface noises like squeaking or popping, or wood characteristics such as knots and grain variations.
  • Improper storage, site conditions, or installation.

 

Consumer Responsibilities
  • Read and follow installation, care, and maintenance instructions.
  • Verify product specifications and condition upon receipt.
  • Ensure proper site conditions and subfloor quality before installation.
  • Use NFCA & NWFA-compliant cleaning products and procedures.

 

Manufacturer Responsibilities

If a valid warranty claim is established, Simba Floors will, at its discretion:

  • Repair the defective boards.
  • Replace with the same or a comparable product.
  • Refund the prorated purchase price of the defective section.

 

Warranty Claims Process

To file a claim:

  • Purchase must be from an authorized dealer.
  • Notify the dealer in writing upon identifying the issue, including:
    • A copy of the purchase invoice.
    • Installation date.
    • Photos of the issue.
    • Sample boards, if applicable.

Note: Unauthorized repairs will void the warranty.

 

Additional Notes
  • Warranty does not cover removal or replacement of cabinets, furniture, or fixtures.
  • Humidity must be maintained between 40%-55%. Damage from improper humidity levels is excluded.
  • Gloss reduction, surface checking, and cracking are not covered.
